Children's book SaaS

AI product development · generation → layout → print

Personalised children's stories, generated and automatically assembled into a finished book. The product decision that matters: a preview and approval stage, so a parent sees what the AI wrote before it becomes something printed and handed to a child.

Generation → approval flow

Generated pages

The work

Problem
Generate a personalised children's story and turn it into an actual book — text and illustrations laid out on pages, not just a wall of generated prose.
Workflow
Story input → AI generation → Images → Preview → Approval → Page assembly
Key decision
Preview and approval instead of generate-straight-to-final. AI output aimed at children is exactly the case where an unreviewed generation is unacceptable — a parent inspects the story and the illustrations before anything is locked in. It costs a step in the funnel and buys the only thing that makes the product usable.
Layout
Dynamic page assembly places generated text and images together as pages. Currently improving text and image positioning so pages read as designed rather than templated — the difference between a generated PDF and something that looks like a book.
Stack
  • LLM integration
  • AI image generation
  • Dynamic page layout
Outcome
A working generation-to-book pipeline with human approval in the middle, producing assembled, personalised books.

This is one of a few projects shown here — a small sample of what I've built. Happy to walk through the layout engine or the approval flow.
