Himshikha workforce management

Business automation · Google Apps Script · live daily use

A data-entry operation tracking attendance and output by hand. I replaced it with an operational dashboard covering five sub-systems — attendance, productivity, QC, training and finance — running daily for 12 people across two shifts.

Staff names are blanked out in these screenshots — the system is live and the people in it are real.

The work

Scale
5 systems × 2 people, plus 2 QC systems — 12 people across two shifts, 7:30am–5pm and 10am–7:30pm.
Problem
Attendance and productivity tracked manually. No reliable picture of who worked how long, who was accurate, or where the operation was losing time.
Attendance
Login/logout capture with automatic time-worked calculation. Duplicate submissions update the existing row instead of creating a new one — the single fix that made the data trustworthy enough to score people on. Individual dashboards are reached by shared link, so there's no login system to administer for staff who just need to see their own numbers.
Productivity
Forms completed ÷ hours worked, tied into accuracy and discipline scoring — output measured against quality rather than raw volume.
QC tracker
Colour-coded sequence generation with priority-override logic on overlapping ranges, so two claims on the same range resolve predictably instead of by whoever saved last.
Checker practice
A training tool that runs checkers against real insurance records with deliberately injected errors, then scores them and ranks a leaderboard — measurable training instead of shadowing.
Finance
EMI and investment tracking, with Claude Haiku parsing PDF statements automatically — the monthly manual re-typing job removed entirely.
Stack
  • Google Sheets
  • Google Apps Script
  • Claude Haiku API
Outcome
Manual tracking replaced by a dashboard the operation runs on daily — attendance, output and quality visible without anyone compiling a sheet.

This is one of a few projects shown here — a small sample of what I've built. Happy to walk through the scoring logic or the QC override design.
